Welcome to Princess Anne Middle School Band Website!Under the direction of Mr. Terry Privette No Practices this week because of All City and All District Band **Below information is only for the students doing 7th grade All-City Band Auditions today and All-District Band Thursday through Saturday. All-City Band- Will be held at Corprate Landing Middle School. Parents drive students to CLMS at 5:00. Students go inside and audition for their chairs and then go home. Should be out of there by 5:45 or 6:00. Last year we were finishing up by 6:00. Everybody was gone by 6:30 easy. Don't show at 6:00 it's over by then, your child will be sitting last chair in the section. But they are still in it. :-) District Band- 2012 DISTRICT II

SECTIONALS: Sectionals are at the sole discretion of the guest conductors.
Directors may be called upon to work with
students in the case that a sectional is required.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATING STUDENTS
1. All students must have their fees paid in full and on time in order
to participate.
2. Students must be on time at registration - 6:00PM Thursday (Senior)
or 11:15AM Friday (Middle School / Junior) or forfeit their seating
position in the band.
3. Each student must attend every scheduled activity in its
entirety.
4. Any change in personnel (cancellations or name corrections) must be
reported to your band director immediately. Chair
vacancies will be filled by an alternate except in cases of quota
students. Please understand that any names received after January
19th will not appear in the program and any names
misspelled on the original audition results will
be misspelled in the program if your director does not contact the event
chairman immediately. (List of
students participating will come to you from Jonathan Schifffler---any
name/spelling corrections will then be sent to him prior to program
printer).
5. All students must eat lunch in the cafeteria. Students failing to
follow this rule could either be moved to last chair or dismissed from
the District Band.
6. Be on time - preferably early!!! Any tardiness
will result in being moved to the last chair in your section.
7. Students must remain within designated areas of Cox High School at
all times.
8. Students must wear their name tags at all times. These will be used
to identify you at all District Band functions.
9. All instruments must be in proper playing condition. Many instrument
cases are similar in appearance, so please label your case with your
name. Calamus Music will be set up during the event for emergency
repairs.
10. Students must attend sectional rehearsals if held.
11. All students will wear their respective school's concert band
uniform for the Saturday afternoon performance. (NOTE: If a
school does not have band uniforms, students are asked to wear
the following attire:
Boys - suit or sport coat and pants,
white dress shirt, tie, black socks
and black dress shoes.
Girls - "Sunday" dress or black concert
dress, black dress shoes.
12. We will adhere to the Virginia Beach City Public School’s Code
of Conduct during this event. Students may not wear hats during
rehearsals or concerts. All cell phones must be turned off and not be
visible during rehearsals and concerts. No texting during rehearsals.
Items will be confiscated until the end of the concerts if these
procedures are not followed. Students may be asked to leave if Code of
Conduct issues arise.
